When leading insulation brand, EXPOL invested in new tech to recycle excess polystyrene into durable, long-life products, Matter was tasked with spreading the word. Our goal was to create a social media campaign that would not only raise awareness of EXPOL's closed-loop manufacturing process, but also encourage active participation from the community.

Key results:

  • Launch campaign generated hundreds of positive engagements and comments, raising awareness of EXPOL’s sustainability efforts.

  • Donations flooded in to EXPOL’s recycling stations, located in hardware stores around Aotearoa.

  • The EXPOL Household Polystyrene Recycling Programme now recycles 1,000 cubic meters of consumer polystyrene waste each month.
